We view our hosts as ambassadors for our country, and our selection process ensures that our hosts possess the commitment, motivation, and capability to extend the support that will ensure each student’s successful integration into American culture. Our hosts offer more than rooms for rent; they offer a support system and authentic interest in welcoming a student to America.
How our homestays work
The American Homestay Network (AHN-USA) matches each student with a host family located near the student’s place of education. The host provides the student with a private bedroom and an agreed-upon meal plan, and assists them in learning the local customs and transportation systems, as well as generally helping the student become acquainted with the American lifestyle. Students are encouraged to share information about their home cultures and countries, as our hosts also wish to have a unique cultural experience.
Our processes, systems, and experience ensure your students homestay experience succeeds from the beginning with our staff available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We quickly and efficiently address and resolve student issues when they arise.

Our mission is to provide a safe, comfortable, and culturally enriching homestay experience. Our service offerings include a sophisticated host/student matching process, banking and payment services, a rigorous proprietary background-check program, a 24/7 critical-incident service, airport transportation services, and online cultural and hosting training and testing—all of which is all facilitated through our HMS™ (Homestay Management System) technology. This system facilitates communications, applications, placements, and payments for all stakeholders.
